The Aurora Stingers began their 2008 CGSL season against Bradford this past Thursday night. While the girls started off well they had to ultimately settle for a 1-1 tie.
Kaitlin continued her hot streak in opening the scoring for the Stingers. The girls continued to dominate the game, but try as they might they could not double their advantage.
The second half brought out a revitalized opponent. Bradford piled on the pressure and were rewarded with the equalizer mid way through the half. The remainder of the game saw both teams have opportunities to win the match but no other goals were forthcoming.
The Stingers next game is against the Pickering Gators on June 5th. The girls will be looking for some revenge as the Gators knocked them out of the West Niagara Tournament.
