The Stingers lost their first game of the young season, dropping a 1-0 decision to the Pickering Gators.
After a sluggish start to the game, during which the Gators scored the only goal of the match, the girls raised their commitment levels as they began to battle for each ball against the more physically imposing Pickering team. However, as what’s becoming a frequent occurrence, the Stingers could not score that elusive goal that would not only give them the added confidence, but also the much needed points in the league standings.
The girls will seek to reverse their recent streak of bad luck, as they take on the West Rouge Storm in their home opener on June 12th.
