The Stingers were due for a “stinker”, coming off an impressive unbeaten streak and winning the recent Cam Am Tournament. The girls had not played a league match in 3 weeks and it showed, losing to Richmond Hill 5-1 in the League Cup.
A second half goal by Darcy provided the only highlight in the game for the Stingers. Nothing much more to add. The girls were made aware that such efforts, or lack thereof, would not be acceptable going into the last few games of the season.
The team continues to strive for promotion and will resume the fight on Thursday away to East Gwillimbury.
On a more positive note, Coach Louis has announced the signing of a new player. Cristina joins the team after a successful spell with both the Vaughan Azzurri and the York Region District teams. Welcome Cristina, the girls anxiously await the opportunity to play with you.
