Saturday’s win against Unionville was sweet, as it was the Championship game.  There was some good passing and communication which helped us keep our composure during the game. The use of some pressure and good possession wasn’t enough in the first half, as we were down 1-0 on a penalty against us. In the second half we were more dominant, with better movement and communication. The defenders and Alexis did their job, keeping the ball out of our net; the midfielders controlled play and moved the ball to the forwards, who put good pressure on their defense. A nice cross in from Sabrina was just what Caroline needed to put the ball in the back of the net; bringing us to a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation time. With some impressive shots and impressive saves, our team managed to win in penalty kicks, giving us the Championship.
